Getting to Vartiosaari

OPTION A:

OVERLAND TO REPOSALMI BOAT JETTY

Fridays: 17:40, 18:15

Saturdays & Sundays: 10:45, 11:15, 17:45, 18:15

From 1st June -9th August, these leave Reposalmi (Laajasalo) at approximately 10.45, 12.45, 17.45 and 19.45 daily. To get back to the mainland (Reposalmi/Laajasalo), the ferry leaves Vartiosaari at 10.55, 12.50, 17.55 and 19.50. For full timetables, please check: Suomen Saaristokuljetus. And make sure you get to the jetty at each end at least 10 minutes early just in case! The ferry will travel in both directions on request. If the cafe is open, you can enjoy stove pot coffee and cake while you wait.

The journey to/from Reposalmi takes less than 5 minutes and the cost is 2€ each way

Alternatively, you can see if anyone else is heading over on their own boat and hitchhike.
